Common Types of Contract Disputes

Real estate contract disputes come in all shapes and sizes, and no matter what type you’re facing, our property lawyers have the skills and experience needed to represent you. Some of the most common contract disputes we see include:

  • Breach of contract – Either party in a real estate transaction can breach the purchase contract. A seller, for example, could breach the contract by failing to make agreed-upon repairs prior to closing. Likewise, a buyer could breach the contract by failing to deposit the agreed-upon amount of money.
  • Fraudulent nondisclosure – A seller can be held liable for failing to disclose a known defect that would materially affect the value of the property in question, so long as that defect isn’t known to the buyer and isn’t readily observable.
